French Lick is a good place to take kids

The family got together in French Lick on a beautiful spring day in early May. We had a 6 and a 2 year old with us and we had no trouble keeping them entertained.

We got together to celebrate mother's day. Prior to this day it has rained everyday for 2 weeks. We had this date planned for months and we really got lucky with the weather!

After a picnic and a 2 hour train ride, we headed over to the French Lick Winery for a little tasting and then we bought a bottle of wine and hung out on the deck.

It is hilarious to watch kids play on playgrounds...there is a nice playground by the winery.

French Lick is about 1.5 hours from Evansville where my mom lives. So we wanted to check out the new waterpark, Big Splash Adventure. I really was impressed by a lot of things about that place. From the size to the retractable roof to the fact that they do not use chlorine to disinfect with.

Of course it is unfairly teasing a 6 year old to take her to a waterpark and then not let her in, but she played games and then whisked her off to the French Lick Town Square to play in the VERY COOL new fountain on the square.

We finished off the day by eating at T-Berry's, which is a great greasy spoon diner.

Across the street is another playground so we finished off the day there....It was a great day in French Lick.
