Hemlock Cliffs is one of the best places for a half day hike!

Hemlock Cliffs is just south of Patoka Lake about 7 miles north of I-64. Click for more info
You would not believe it is Indiana. There are big canyons and 3 nice sized waterfalls. The whole loop trail is about 3.5 miles.

I would classify the trail as rugged in parts....mainly if you want to clambor around and get behind the waterfalls. The area contains a lot of unique plants for the area.

I also like going there when we have had a really cold snap because then you can see the cool frozen waterfalls.

Check out this link for a slideshow of the day.

Of course our faithful companion Max enjoyed the trip......he is getting old, but he only needed help once :)
